Solar Panel EL Defect Tester Function:
Solar Panel EL Defect tester is used to test the manufactured solar modules for cell inherent defects, such as cell breakage , surface micro cracks, debris, bad soldering, and for instance to detect an inactive string inside a solar modules. EL imaging is becoming more and more important for quality testing of solar cells, as the defects can't be identified by visual or naked eye inspection.
It can be test before laminating and after laminating. So it will reduce the production cost and improve the panel quality.


Defects that can be found with an EL tester are:
  1. Broken cells and micro-cracks in the cells.
  2. Detection of busbar contact defects
  3. Detection of missing or interrupted screen-printed fingers
  4. Detection of mixed efficiency and foreign matter/Polution in the crystalline silicone
  5. Short circuit in solar cells
